This hotel has no pool bar , and very little option for eating outside the restaurant times. Lovely comfy bed, 2 great big TVs (with quite a few channels in English) a lovely sofa, dining table, wee kitchenette(we didn't use this- apart from the fridge), lovely clean and spacious bathroom (fantastic shower!!!) The first night they had got some parrots in which they forced onto everyones shoulder whether you wanted to or not!
We did the organised Lagos and Sagres trip with Thomson/First Choice and would recommend this- good value for money if you want to explore a bit!There is a spar supermarket 5 mins walk away- next to the Alvor Ferias.You can easily walk in to Alvor- it's only 10 minutes away, and there are a few nice wee shops/a perfumery here, as well as some bars and restaurants if you fancy a change. We thought that the food choices were great- there was always a couple of pasta dishes- with a couple of different sauces available to choose from as well as parmesan cheese/chillis etc if you wanted to make something a bit different.

It really is a full board hotel with free drinks. We would definitely return to the Alvor Baia, we think with that they did fantastically especially as the hotel hasnt been running as AI for long!

Can't comment on the wine as we don't drink it but my partner enjoyed a few nice cold beers, we both had the spirits (rum and vodka) and the 'cocktail of the day'(the only one included in the AI)and were happy with them all! There was a very shallow (like 5cm or less) pool at the end that most children played in (very good idea) which was also near to the children's play area which looked very good but I cant comment as we did not use it.

The evening entertainment we felt was rather poor but with a lovely bar and outside area to enjoy we didn't mind. There were a few pubs and restaurants but we didn't eat in them. we are big kids lol you stuffed it then could look for any clothes or voice things to put in (which we didn't do) then you had to adopt it - you got a certificate and a photo which would be really nice for children to do.
