It is the third main game in the Baldur's Gate series. They haven't made it to avernus yet so I'm hoping there aren't any part 2-4 spoilers anywhere as I know at least 3 of my players will play bg3. I especially enjoy the dream sequences they bring up in 3 or 4 spots where you deal with combat and puzzles to get to the next part of the vision. If they advertise it as sequel to Descent Into Avernus I think it is pretty much sure to have some spoilers, and probably pretty heavy too. The implication seems to be yes, the writers will pick an ending that is canon.
