Day 2 is the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), a 200-question, multiple-choice exam. The applicant must also meet education requirements have achieved a scaled score of 85 on the MPRE. A scaled score of 85 on the MPRE prior to bar application is required for admission.
In order to be eligible for admission without taking the Massachusetts Bar Exam, the applicant must have been admitted in another jurisdiction for 5 years and have engaged in the active practice or teaching of law since prior admission. Day 2 consists of ten Massachusetts drafted essay questions.
