This pressing is as quiet as this release demands, with a broad and deep range of sounds. My copy is a JEM Import. Richard Wright, a fellow architecture student, joined later that year, and the group became a sextet, Sigma 6. Waters played lead guitar, Mason drums, and Wright rhythm guitar (since there was rarely an available keyboard).
Since many were never played live, and some haven’t seen a concert stage in decades, there was a fair amount of leeway in how this new ensemble would interpret compositions from over 50 years ago without losing the magic of the late 60s recordings.
