Mahzarin Rustum Banaji FBA (born 1956) is an American psychologist at Harvard University, known for her work popularizing the concept of implicit bias in regards to race, gender, sexual orientation, and other factors. Professor Banaji presented her research on implicit bias, as determined by the Implicit Association Test (IAT).
Professor Banaji studies thinking and feeling as they unfold in social context, with a focus on mental systems that operate in implicit or unconscious mode.
