I agree with you, the players options should be more obvious. The heroes get their first taste of hell facing a steady stream of bloodthirsty devils, demons and undead while scrambling to make sense of what has befallen the holy city of Elturel – and how to undo it!
This backgrounds are perfect to make my players more invested in the fate of both cities :).
Elturel is a city on a hill. For the 2020 holiday season, returnable items shipped between October 1 and December 31 can be returned until January 31, 2021. As far as the battle, my idea was to have it take place on the opposite side of the river. This shopping feature will continue to load items when the Enter key is pressed. And remind them they have an entire city’s worth of resources to plunder.

My biggest complaint is the lack of player maps and the decreased size of the included B&W DM maps. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Something that made me wonder is why Hellriders do not get Vehicle Proficiency (Land)? Just bought the adventure and I can't wait to run it with my party (once we finish Saltmarsh!). My review of chapter one STILL STANDS. The characters shouldn't face combat encounter after combat encounter against devils and the like. Descent into Avernus has an excellent set of encounters you can run in Elturel.
and some of the comments on the other encounters. You can tell right off the bat that a lot of love went into this as you thumb through the pages. So I’d have some possibilities in Elturel, but it’s the player’s problem to figure out.
Devils lurk in Avernus, ready to lure adventurers with ultimate temptations of power and treasure—for a price. We think you'll have a much more enjoyable experience. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

The orb produces light that is painful to undead, and could be seen from virtually anywhere within Elturgard. Thanks a lot! This is a better way to start Descent into Avernus than the book.
