Sexually explicit drawings of Alexandra and Rasputin began to circulate in revolutionary propaganda and in and amongst the political circles, it was almost impossible for the Romanov dynasty to ignore. A couple of good cameos in it too. Given the state of the world in 2020, some may find it all too plausible. | In the Netflix series, Grigori Rasputin is played excellently by Ben Cartwright, although he couldn’t quite replicate Rasputin’s iconic beard without the help of the make-up team and it does show at times.

Some quite like it though, so perhaps I'll revisit this one. It has gained fans in the past ten years, but still feels a bit underrated for how impressive of a dark thriller it is. Rosie O'Donnell puts a major damper on this, but hey she was popular at the time.
